The Sims 4 News: Backlash Over Ailments & the Latest Patch!
In Sims 4 News, The Sims 4 Team put out a patch earlier this week to address the issues with Ailments that came with the Enchanted by Nature expansion pack. The patch update also addressed a few lingering issues stemming from other packs in the game.
Unfortunately, that update did not fix the issue with Ailments and only half fixed other lingering issues. Simmers are still having issues with Ailments happening way too often in their games, and the issues are becoming even more of a nuisance during gameplay.
You can watch the video I posted about The Sims Team's response here or continue reading below:
Here are what some Simmers are saying on Social Media platforms like Facebook and X about Ailments after the new patch update.

And here are a few more comments from Simmers who aren't happy with the newest tuning update for Ailments in the Sims 4.

While I did see a lot of Simmers posting negative comments in reference to the newest Sims 4 patch update, there were some positive or encouraging comments sprinkled about as well.

So it appears to be hit and miss on which of us Simmers experience Ailments too often. Hopefully, this update helped your gameplay, but Ailments appear to be giving a lot of Simmers issues even after the tuning in the latest Sims 4 patch update, which caused backlash from Simmers.
Backlash from Simmers was heard by the Sims Team over this latest patch update, and the Sims Team actually responded this time. The Sims Team put out a message directly through Social Media. Here is what they had to say.

Since this tuning update wasn't sufficient for Simmers and their gameplay, expect another update (hopefully soon) to just disable contagious Ailments so you don't have to deal with them in your gameplay.
This is what the Sims Team should have given Simmers in the first place, but getting to disable Ailments soon is better than never, I suppose. The Sims Team also added this about the Werewolf pack on the issues with noses.

Let EA know if you experience any bugs or issues within your gameplay and don't use mods. Even if you do use mods, let EA know if you are certain that the bug you are experiencing isn't specifically related to a mod.
This, at the very least, will ensure the issue is being tracked or documented somewhere. And later on, EA can't say they didn't know the issue existed. Click here to go to the EA forum to report bugs found within your gameplay.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Sims 4 and Ailments! I will let you know whenever the Sims Team gives an announcement on when to expect the next patch, which will allow us to finally disable contagious Ailments.
