Sims 4 Neighborhood Types

Here is a list of all neighborhood types in this spin wheel for The Sims 4 (Updated: 08/01/2025):

  1. Downtown/Urban Core: Heart of the city, dense with high-rise buildings, businesses, and a vibrant mix of residential and commercial spaces
  2. Urban Pioneer: Transitioning neighborhoods, often older buildings in the process of renovation
  3. New Urban: Planned communities focusing on walkability, mixed-use development, and often feature a variety of housing styles
  4. Suburban: Larger homes, yards, and parks - access to good schools, and typically full of families
  5. Cul-De-Sac: Winding streets and dead-end roads, safety and community - that is what this style of neighborhood brings (while similar to Suburban, houses and yards tend to be smaller in size, and the neighborhoods tend to be more populated)
  6. Planned Community: Planned and detailed with specific amenities, architectural styles, and social structures
  7. Pedestrian Walkability and access to amenities prioritized - a mix of housing and commercial (typically retail shops and other small businesses)
  8. Historic: Historically significant and sometimes unique style of homes and businesses - build a piece of architectural history or create something that should have been
  9. Resort: Leisure and recreation, including lodging with amenities like pools, camping, horseback riding, skiing, clubhouses, attractions, etc.
  10. Retirement: Catering to older adults - independent living or care facilities (or both)
  11. Affluent: Rich neighborhoods basically - High property values, larger extravagant homes, and often behind gated communities
  12. Run-down: The opposite of Affluent (lol)
  13. Rural: More land, open space, farms - slower pace of life, simple living - off-the-grid living in some areas
  14. Fantasy: Pick a fantasy style of your choosing - go crazy with dragons and castles or keep it simple with out of this world Aliens (is that simple tho, idk)
